Meet the Team
Jason has been a professor of chemistry at the University of Prince Edward Island since 2009, where he coordinates and teaches in the general chemistry program. He holds a PhD in theoretical chemistry from Dalhousie University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. He has won numerous teaching awards, including the 2016 Brightspace Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning, the Janet Pottie Murray Award for Educational Leadership, and the Hessian Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Adam has been teaching chemistry courses and labs at the undergraduate level for the past decade which gives him a unique perspective into all aspects of the undergraduate student experience. A two-time Governor Generals' medal winner, he received his PhD in theoretical chemistry from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2018. His desire to use his skill set to help students succeed led him from the classroom to the field of EdTech.
Trevor has 10+ years of experience in software development and an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Prince Edward Island. He has always enjoyed sharing knowledge and this is what drew him to education technology. In his free, time you'll find him playing video games, one of his many instruments, or in the sky flying an airplane.
Riley, a PEI native, has always had a passion for problem-solving and understanding the natural world. He obtained his honours degree in chemistry in 2018, studying novel cancer drug analogues. In 2020, he completed his MSc studying cutting-edge artificial intelligence designed for chemical reaction prediction. Currently, he works as a software developer for Stemble Learning Inc., helping to build revolutionary learning tools for new generations of students. His hobbies include playing video games, watching good movies, and hiking.
Ryan brings a wealth of software development experience to the team, including web app development and database management. Ryan is a senior software engineer with over 12 years of experience in a wide range of projects.
Jocelynne was born and raised in Western Canada. She holds an honours degree in Chemistry, which focused on using learning analytics to understand and categorize student behaviours in General Chemistry. Jocelynne is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education degree at the University of British Columbia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cheering for her favourite sports teams, and trying to learn new languages.
