Our Professors
Dr. Jason Pearson
Co-Founder
Jason has been a professor of chemistry at the University of Prince Edward Island since 2009, where he coordinates and teaches in the general chemistry program. He holds a PhD in theoretical chemistry from Dalhousie University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. He has won numerous teaching awards, including the 2016 Brightspace Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning, the Janet Pottie Murray Award for Educational Leadership, and the Hessian Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Dr. Adam Proud
Co-Founder
Adam has been teaching chemistry courses and labs at the undergraduate level for the past decade which gives him a unique perspective into all aspects of the undergraduate student experience. A two-time Governor General's medal winner, he received his PhD in theoretical chemistry from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2018. His desire to use his skill set to help students succeed led him from the classroom to the field of EdTech.

Trevor Profitt
Co-Founder
Trevor has 10+ years of experience in software development and an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Prince Edward Island. He has always enjoyed sharing knowledge and this is what drew him to education technology. In his free time, you'll find him playing video games, one of his many instruments, or in the sky flying an airplane.
Mitch George
COO
Mitch is an experienced start up operations leader with a track record of bringing people, processes, and data together to improve business performance. When not behind the monitor, Mitch loves being active with his partner and their dog Phoebe and spending time with friends and family.
Libby Edwards
Sales Development Representative
Libby Edwards is a researcher and writer with a Master's degree in Adult Education and Community Development from the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in Indigenous economic development, urban agriculture, and social economy studies. Libby has worked at multiple academic institutions conducting qualitative research, grant writing, and managing programs. More recently, she has managed farming initiatives and community programs focused on food justice in Toronto and the GTA.
Andrew Reid
VP IT Operations
For over 10 years Andrew has been working with small businesses, large enterprises, and government agencies to develop software software solutions. He thrives collaborating with our team to refine our platform’s reliability, scalability and security. When not working, he loves spending time with his family, playing guitar, or getting outside.
Nolan Phillips
VP Engineering
Nolan brings a decade of experience in building and managing software projects to the team. His focus on continuous learning spans from technical skills to product design and company culture.
Lucja Anchikoski
Software Engineer
Lucja Anchikoski is a Software Engineer at our company dedicated to addressing complex problems using her technical expertise. In her free time, she explores her passions for music and illustration, demonstrating her wide range of interests and talents.
Scott Byrne
UX Engineer
Scott's an experienced designer who loves to work directly with code. He enjoys breaking down complex problems into simple and effective solutions. Outside of work, he plays a lot of Disc Golf, makes music and tinkers with his latest side project.
Paul Seward
Software Engineer
Paul Seward is a Software Engineer at our company and former teacher with experience in several education systems. Currently, he is a graduate student at the University of Prince Edward Island studying Machine Learning. In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and fixing up their century-old farmhouse.
Isabelle Upton
Revenue Operations Coordinator
Isabelle brings a unique blend of scientific curiosity and operational expertise to her role at Stemble. After earning her degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Waterloo and gaining experience as an executive assistant, she now helps drive efficiency across Stemble's operations. She’s passionate about supporting the team and making online education more accessible and impactful.
Greg Bannard
Junior Instructional Designer
Greg Bannard is an Instructional Designer at Stemble Learning Inc., where she creates clear, accessible, and engaging chemistry learning experiences for students and instructors. With an interdisciplinary background in materials chemistry, safety education, and science communication, she specializes in translating complex concepts into intuitive and problem solving-based activities across a wide range of courses. Greg also contributes to national chemistry education initiatives, including the design of interactive, gamified learning experiences for the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition (CSC). Her instructional approach centres on guided problem solving - encouraging learners to explore, experiment, and build understanding through meaningful challenges. She is continually expanding her skills, both professionally and through hands-on hobbies, and is always looking toward the next challenge to solve.
Michael Huggett
Security & Compliance Lead
Michael is Stemble’s Security and Compliance Lead, bringing nearly 30 years of technology experience across private and public sectors. With a background spanning IT operations, systems analysis, and project leadership, he focuses on building practical, scalable security governance that supports organizational growth. He leads Stemble’s SOC 2 and GRC initiatives, strengthening internal controls, formalizing governance frameworks, and aligning security practices with industry standards. Michael holds an MBA in Information Technology, is PMP-certified, and is pursuing the CISSP designation. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, spending time outdoors, and navigating life with four energetic dogs.
Noah Striker
Junior Instructional Designer
Based in Ottawa, ON, Noah holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology and brings curiosity and an evidence-based approach to instructional design. His work focuses on how people learn, drawing on his background in educational psychology and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning to create meaningful, research-informed learning experiences. He has presented at numerous SoTL conferences and contributes to international communities dedicated to advancing excellence in teaching and learning, including ISSOTL, STLHE, and OLC. Outside of work, Noah enjoys cooking, exploring nature, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
